Driven by a passion for science, structural elements, and creative problem-solving, Melbourne-based furniture designer Daniel Barbera crafts minimalistic, handmade furnishings using timber, leather, bronze, and wire. Inspired by childhood experiences in his father's workshop, Barbera, a Monash University industrial design graduate, founded BARBERA in Melbourne in 2003. The brand emphasizes high-quality Australian-made furniture, employing skilled artisans and designers who meld classic materials into refined, hand-fabricated pieces with a focus on timeless design and longevity. BARBERA's ethos harmonises intelligent design, process-oriented workings, and a fusion of classic industrial techniques with modern technology and craftsmanship.
